Captained Charters

Our professional captains will elevate your charter experience! Their sailing and cruising knowledge will help create your dream itinerary while keeping your days stress free. Our captains handle all vessel-related responsibilities for a relaxing charter experience.

 

Captained charters are also perfect for people that want to learn the basics of sailing and cruising but don’t want to take a formal course yet, or for sailors that have taken courses that want to practice!

 

Your captain’s responsibilities are limited to the safe operation and maintenance of the vessel, the charterer is responsible for everything else while onboard. Planning, preparing and cleaning up after meals is the charterers responsibility. If you would rather leave the cooking and cleaning up to someone else, our Crewed Charters might be right for you!

 

Guests are responsible for provisioning enough food and meals for their captain, or leave the hassle to us and use our Provision Service! If the charterers prefer to dine out for meals, they must provision enough food on the boat that their captain can prepare their own meal.

 

Captain’s responsibilities:

• Safety of all souls onboard

• Safety of vessel

• Sailing/motoring the vessel

• Driving the dinghy (tender)

• Guided excursions during the day (generally 9am to 5pm)

* When your captain is not needed for their responsibilities, they are considered “off the clock” * This includes early mornings and late evenings up to their discretion.​​​

 

 

 

If you believe your captain did a great job, it is industry standard to tip for professional services 10-20% of the charter cost.
