The most important feature of a good cruising boat! Bella's galley was thoughtfully designed to provide plenty of storage without sacrificing too much counter space like some cruising boats. She is stocked with quality cookware as well as generous fridge and freezer space for provisions. She has everything needed to provide delicious meals for her crew!
Clean and comfortable Head
The guest head aboard Bella is spacious for a boat and kept thoroughly clean. It hosts the indoor shower along with adequate storage for your toiletries and hooks for the shower and beach towels that we provide for all our guests. The loo itself is a simple manual marine head that we will make sure all guests are well acquainted with on arrival.
Indoor and Outdoor Shower
Bella provides amenities for both showering down below, as well as on deck using the big blue Atlantic bathtub and the deck shower for a fresh rinse, our favorite method in tropical regions! In either case we provide reef safe biodegradable products that we encourage you to use, but you are always welcome to bring your own if you have strong preferences.
Plenty of Space to Lounge
Bella has a spacious common area down below offering plenty of space for full family style dinners, card games, or ASA course lectures. She also includes a full navigation station for those that need a desk environment. All of these spaces make great places to kick back and read a good book after a day of hands on sailing.
Spacious Berths
All Berths aboard Bella are a spacious queen size, actually a little bigger, just shaped a bit different! Complete with freshly cleaned linens for every charter and the sound of waves gently slapping the hull as Bella slowly dances on her anchor, you are sure to have a wonderful nights sleep!
Comfortable Cabins
Although we love entertaining and sharing our lifestyle with guests, we all need our own space to escape to sometimes. Bella's guest cabins are your private space aboard and the perfect place to escape you if you need some quiet time after a day full of adventure. Complete with ample storage for your luggage and three hatches to let the breeze in, they're sure to provide you with a comfortable stay.
Ample Ventilation
Like any well designed cruising boat, Bella sports and abundance of opening hatches and port-lights to provide plentiful ventilation down below. We also carry breeze boosters for hatches and cabin port-lights to enhance the airflow in guest cabins on those calm tropical evenings.
On Board Entertainment
Although most of your time will be spent enjoying the outdoor activities available to cruisers, its always nice to have other options. Onboard entertainment includes surround sound bluetooth stereo, a full size television, fast WiFi, and of course plenty of card games. Davy Jones will also happily entertain all who are willing to throw his ball!
Above Deck
Thoughtfully Designed Rig
We all like going fast, but most of us are not racers. Bella's sail-plan was well designed to be large and powerful yet well laid out and easy to control with a shorthanded crew. The roller furling genoa, main sail with full lazy jacks and a large lazy bag, and all control lines led aft to large powerful winches in the cockpit she is a breeze to sail. Her well thought out robust rig makes her a great performance cruiser.
Full Sail Inventory
In addition to the furling genoa and fully battened mainsail, Bella carries two extra sails for performance and safety. We have a storm jib onboard to pair with a deep third reef in the main for when the wind really picks up. You'll likely only hoist it for practice on a calm day! on the other end of the spectrum, we have a large asymmetrical cruising spinnaker for when the wind starts to get light and we want a little more sporty sailing.
Robust Power Systems
A mainstay of a good cruising boat is a robust and reliable power system. Bella's "grid" is designed with many redundancies and an amount of available power that would make any cruiser jealous. Her 600 ah lithium battery bank supports charging from wind, solar, engine, or generator all while being capable of easily running any onboard necessities and occasionally even large power tools in a pinch!
Top of the Line Electronics
Bella has been fully updated with a complete set of modern Garmin instruments and gauges. She sports a large easy to use chartplotter, reliable autopilot, depth, wind speed/direction, radar, and more. Safely navigating day and night is made as easy as possible with all of the information one could ask for at your fingertips from the helm.
Advanced Saftey Equiptment
Safety is of upmost importance at sea, and Bella is equipped with everything we need to safely enjoy the cruising lifestyle. some of our safety gear includes offshore safety harnesses, satellite communications, EPIRB, liferaft, full first aid kit, AED, and more. We even have a water tester to ensure the water we make or purchase from a dock is fit to drink.
Performance Hull
In addition to her powerful rig, Bella has a sleek hull design and deep 6' 6" draft that provides exceptional sailing performance. This performance is invaluable when learning to sail because her responsiveness provides generous feedback to the helm and a healthy layer of forgiveness for new sailors. If your sail trim isn't perfect, she will still reward you with descent speeds and quickly react to small adjustments that you make as you put your new sailing skills to the test.
